Less than a 5 minute drive to Lookout Beach, Bowtie House is ideally located for holidaymakers who want to be close to the ocean. Walking to Lookout Beach is possible but not recommended as the road back is quite steep! Plett's other famous beaches (Central, Robberg, Solar and Keurbooms) are also just a short drive away.

Bowtie House is halfway between the Market Square shopping complex on Beacon Way and Main Street in Plett's town centre. Both are also only a 5 minute drive away (under a kilometre).

The house can accommodate 8 people in four luxurious en-suite bedrooms (2 king, 1 queen and 1 double) and is suitable for the elderly - especially the upper level accommodation & living areas.. Children are very welcome.

There is a 24 hour monitored alarm system and plenty of off-street parking for guests and visitors.

Bedrooms

The Master Suite consists of a large bedroom with a king size bed, luxury en-suite bathroom with shower, bath and double vanity unit and sliding mirrored wardrobes. While lying in bed you can choose between watching television, a DVD or gazing out over the ocean and the mountains. Sleep with the curtains open and you will wake to see the sunrise from your pillow.

The lower level consists of 3 exquisitely furnished en-suite bedrooms (1 king-size, 1 queen & 1 double). All three have been furnished in a contemporary style using complementary earth-tones, soft cream and white. Padded suede headboards, suede curtains, stainless steel and chrome finishes add to the modern look and style of the house. Two of the downstairs bedrooms have televisions and DVD / CD players. All of the televisions in the house are linked to the DSTV Explora decoder in the upstairs lounge.

All the bedrooms have luxurious bathrooms with superb quality Italian tiles and contemporary chrome and glass showers, basins and fittings. Bed linen and bath towels are all of a superior quality and bathrobes and hairdryers are provided.

Exterior

Large sliding doors open from the lounge and dining room onto a 90m² tiled deck which is perfect for entertaining. The views are the finest in Plett.

At one end of the deck there is a covered area with a 12-seater wooden patio table ideal for al fresco eating and at the other end is a comfortable 6-seater suite.

A Weber braai with rotisserie and a Cadac skottel braai with gas bottles are provided.

Downstairs French doors in two of the bedrooms and the dining room open onto a huge 200m² wooden deck with a sparkling swimming pool. Pool loungers and a 6-seater patio suite with a large umbrella allow guests to enjoy the sun until the final rays slip over the horizon.

Interior

Bowtie House is on two levels connected by an internal staircase. Both levels have extensive outside entertainment areas and breathtaking views.

The upper level consists of the entrance hall with guest WC, open-plan living area, main bedroom with en-suite bathroom, kitchen and study.

The enormous 80m2 lounge and dining area is beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with dark wood furniture, cream leather sofas, Italian travertine and glass tables and display units. The lounge features a 55" LED TV, DSTV HD Explora, DVD/CD player and iPod docking station. A BOSE surround sound system feeds sound to ceiling mounted speakers in the kitchen and both areas of the upstairs deck. Dimmable downlights throughout the upper level and deck add to the overall ambience of the house.

A twelve-seater dining table in the bay window provides a spectacular night view over the houses that surround the lagoon in the oldest part of Plett, as well as the far off lights from houses built on the banks and surrounding hills of the Bitou and Keurbooms rivers.

Kitchens

The main kitchen has everything necessary for the serious cook. It contains state of the art appliances, including a Bosch electric oven and 4 plate ceramic hob, Panasonic microwave convection oven, Kenwood Chef, Breville grill, cappuccino/espresso machine, and electric wok. There are also slow cookers, electric frying pans and two 40 litre chafing dishes (in case of power cuts).

The kitchenware is top quality and there is enough serving equipment and heated food trays to cater for large parties easily. Table and servingware is all pristine white and there are plenty of glasses for everyday and crystal for special occasions. A water purifier provides water for drinking and cooking and also feeds the ice-maker and cold water dispenser in the double-door fridge/freezer. A washing machine, tumble dryer and additional fridges and freezers are in the laundry room/scullery which can be accessed through the kitchen.

Study

The study provides a comfortable retreat to watch TV, read in reclinable leather armchairs, or take in the view of the ocean and the mountains. For those who have to keep in touch with the world WiFi and a printer are installed.

All Towels & Linen (including pool/beach towels) are provided.

Booking Deposit: We request that a 50% deposit is paid on booking with the balance 14 days before arrival. Please note that payments can be made direct through EFT/BACS - unfortunately we cannot take payment via credit card for Bowtie House rentals.
